Ingredients

  • 1 rack Tabula Rasa Farms Pork
    Spareribs, Membrane Removed

  • 2 tbsp Ketchup

  • 2 tbsp Brown Mustard

  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar

  • 2 tbsp Smoked Paprika, Sweet (Spicy Paprika can be used if you want a kick)

  • 1 tbsp Kosher Salt

  • 2 tsp Onion Powder

  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tsp Black Pepper, Ground

Directions

  • Mix together ketchup and mustard. Coat the spareribs with the mixture using a brush. The mixture coats the ribs better if you pat them dry with a towel first. Mix the brown sugar and spices together in a bowl and rub the ribs with the spice mixture. Wrap the spareribs in parchment paper and then in aluminum foil. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Once the ribs are marinated, place the foil packet on a pan to catch any potential juices while it cooks. Place the pan in a 250-degree oven to bake for 3 to 3.5 hours, until ribs are tender enough to pull apart, but not so cooked that they make pulled pork. Allow the ribs to rest wrapped in the foil for 15 to 20 minutes before cutting them. Resting will make for a juicier rib.

Notes

  • This is great recipe if you are hosting a BBQ this summer. You can marinate and cook the ribs in advance and simply heat them quickly on the grill before serving. It’s a great way to have tender ribs ready for the party without having to keep an eye on the grill or smoker the whole day.
